Human CD268 (BAFFR, BAFF receptor) is a type I TNF superfamily receptor member #13c. It is highly specific for CD257 (BAFF), which itself does bind to other receptors TACI, and BCMA. CD268 expressed on B cells and its ligation by CD257 (BAFF) regulates maturation (1).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Flow CytometryProtocol:
1. Wash 5x10e5 cultured human Raji cells per tube and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of B0003-68Y2 at 10ug/ml.
2. Cells were washed twice and incubated with secondary reagent Streptavidin/R-PE after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS.
3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.1 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1/Biotin negative control at a similar concentration.
3. Binding was blocked when cells were pre incubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml B0003-68Y.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
