Bafilomycin A1 is a member of a potent family of macrocyclic lactones with a broad spectrum of biological activity including activity against bacteria, yeast, fungi, nematodes, insects and antitumor cell lines. Bafilomycin A1 is an inhibitor of vacuolar-type ATPase.
