BRCA1 Associated Protein 1 (BAP1) is an 81kD protein encoded by the BAP1 gene with a predicted length of 729 amino acids. It is proposed to be a tumor suppressor gene by enhancing the BRCA1 mediated inhibition of breast cancer cell growth.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml
Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:
Human breast and ovarian tumor tissue.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
