A novel gene, Novel Amplified in Breast Cancer-1 (NABC1) is implicated in breast cancer development. Breast tumor lines that harbor amplification of the cancer-related amplicon 20q13.2 display high levels of the NABC1 protein compared to normal human fibroblasts or a breast cancer line that does not overexpress the NABC1 mRNA. Alternate namesinclude Breast carcinoma amplified sequence 1, AIBC1, Amplified and overexpressed in breast cancer, breast carcinoma amplified sequence 1, Novel amplified in breast cancer 1 Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
