BCMA is a receptor for BAFF and APRIL. It promotes B cell survival and plays a role in the regulation of humoral immunity. Its downstream signaling is dependent on NF-kappaB and JNK.\n\nBiological Activity:\nBlocks the binding of BAFF and APRIL to their receptors BCMA and TACI, inhibiting BAFF- and APRIL-mediated B cell activation.\n\nSequence:\nThe extracellular domain of human BCMA (aa 2-54) is fused at the C-terminus to the Fc portion of human IgG1.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nShort-term Storage: +4 degrees C\nLong-term Storage: -20 degrees C\nStable for at least 6 months after receipt when stored at -20 degrees C.
