The Src family is composed of nine members in vertebrates, including Src, Yes, Fgr, Frk, Fyn, Lyn, Hck, Lck and Blk. Src-family kinases transducer signals that are involved in the control of a variety of cellular process, including proliferation, differentiation, motility, and adhesion. The human B lymphocyte kinase gene maps to chromosome 8p23-p22 and encodes a 505aa protein; known as Blk. Blk protein is expressed exclusively by B-lymphocytes.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
