5-bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) is an analogue of thymi- dine. When incubated with tissue, proliferating cells incorporate BrdU into the DNA during S phase and this provides an accurate means of determining cell prolifer- ation. This antibody detects incorporated BrdU in cells or tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:400 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Cells or tissues with incorporated Brdu, nuclear staining pattern Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
