Casitas b-lineage lymphoma (c-Cbl) is a 120kD cytoplasmic protein product of the c-Cbl proto-oncogene and is mainly expressed in thymus. C-Cbl is a member of ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3) family. It possesses highly conservative N-terminal phosphotyrosine binding domain that allows recognition of tyrosine-phosphorylated substrates and C3HC4 RING finger motif that allows recruitment and activation of E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme. Thus, c-Cbl negatively regulates many signaling pathways that employ tyrosine-kinase receptors. Recent studies demonstrated that c-Cbl is involved in thymus development and plays a major role in whole-body homeostasis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
