Myc proto-oncogene protein (c-Myc) is a transcription factor with roles in cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression. Mutations in the c-Myc gene and protein over-expression have been associated with a variety of hematopoietic tumors, leukemias and lymphomas. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 4.0ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin and Formalin): 8.0ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
