Myc-tag is a polypeptide protein tag, EQKLISEEDL, derived from the c-myc gene product. It is widely fused to proteins, either in the C-terminus or the N-terminus. It can be used for affinity chromatography to separate recombinant, overexpressed protein from wild type protein expressed by the host organism, and to isolate protein complexes with multiple subunits. A myc-tag can be used in various immunoassays to monitor proteins without antibodies against them.
Myc-Tag Mouse mAb (Agarose Conjugated) is a monoclonal Myc antibody covalently linked to agarose; the agarose enables immunoprecipitation (IP) of Myc tagged proteins or co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) of their interacting partners.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 degrees C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: We do not recommended adding glycerol as a cryopreservative.
