Calretinin, Recombinant, Mouse (Calbindin, CAB29, CAL2)

Calretinin is an intracellular calcium-binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily characterized by a structural mitif described as the EF-hand domain. The immunohistochemical detection of calretinin in developing cerebellum is restricted to the later stages indicated by weak staining from week 21 of gestation, in Purkinje and basket cells and in neurons of the dentate nucleus. The intensity of staining increases as the cerebellum matures. In tumors, calretinin has been detected in mesotheliomas and some pulmonary adenocarcinomas.\n\nRecombinant Calretinin shows a band at 57kD on SDS-PAGE commassie blue stained gel.\n\nDimers and Aggregates:\n(same/less than) 1% as determined by coomassie blue SDS-PAGE gel analysis.\n\nEndotoxin:\n(same/less than) 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Murine Calretinin.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
