Carbonic anhydrase 2 (CA2) is one of fourteen forms of human _ carbonic anhydrases. Carbonic anhydrase catalyzes reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. CA2 is a cytosolic enzyme with the highest activity among all known CAs.
