Nod1 is implicated in the intracellular detection of pathogen associated molecule, such as, microbial peptidoglycans and signals the activation of NF-kB. Nod1 has an NH2-terminal CARD-linked to a nucleotide-binding domain and a COOH-terminal segment with multiple leucine-rich repeats, which are involved in binding to multiple caspases with long prodomains, but specifically activated caspase-9 and promoted caspase-9-induced apoptosis. Nod1 is a leucine-rich repeat-containing Apaf-1-like molecule that can regulate both apoptosis and NF-kB activation pathways. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Recombinant fusion protein Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
