Caspase-12 is located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). A non-caspase protease, calpain, upon activation by elevated intracellular calcium, may be responsible for the activation and cleavage of caspase-12. Caspase-12 is shown to participate in the development of apoptosis induced by ER-stress. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml dilution buffer for each mini-gel Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
