Caspase-3 is regarded as a control mediator of apoptosis in mammalian cells. It is processed during apoptosis from an inactive proenzyme to its active form and func- tions to cleave certain proteins. Caspase-3 is found in some epithelia, kidney, thymus, bone, tonsil, lymph node and bone marrow cells. This antibody will help detect caspase-3 in normal and uncharacterized tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml. Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line and DA3 mouse myeloma cell line treated with Staurosporine. Immunoprecipitation: 1ug/10e6 cells. Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line treated with Staurosporine. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
