Antibody reacts with the tetrameric hemeprotein catalase from all mammalian sources and likely most aerobic microorganisms. Catalase catalyzes the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. This antibody is designed to detect the enzyme in most immunochemical methods. The antibody may facilitate the study of oxidative stress release in neuron transplantation.
Cellular Localization: Peroxisome marker
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:10,00-1:40,000.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
