Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects beta-catenin in RIPA lysates from A431 cells. Immunohistochemisty: Detects b-catenin in mouse embryo sections. Immunocytochemistry: Detects b-catenin in LiCl-treated 293Tcells fixed iwth methanol. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional info: Specific for the active form of beta-catenin, non-phosphorylated on Ser37 and Thr41.1 A non-specific protein, Mr 130kD, was also detected when used at higher concentrations. Species Crossreactivity: Mouse and rat (100%). Predicted to crossreact with frog and chicken (97/100), porcine (99/100) and zebrafish (91/100) based on epitope sequence homology. Does not crossreact with Drosophila. Others not tested.
