Casitas B-lineage lymphoma (Cbl), is an oncogene which causes pre B-cell lymphomas. It participates in the regulation of cell signaling and has the ability to interact with many proteins such as receptor/non-receptor PTK's, structural proteins, and novel proteins that are not well understood. Diseases associated with Cbl are autoimmune diseases, diabetes, and leukemia. By modifying Cbl's ability to bind to oncogenic proteins, Cbl may be developed into an anti-cancer tool and in the near future used in therapeutic intervention.
