CCL14 is member of a superfamily of inducible, secreted, proinflammatory cytokines. It has weak activities on human monocytes and acts via receptors that also recognize MIP-1alpha. It also enhances the proliferation of CD34 myeloid progenitor cells. The processed form of CCL14, designated HCC-1(9-74), is a chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, eosinophils and T cells and is a ligand for CCR1, CCR3 and CCR5. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and RIA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:10,000 RIA: 1:10,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
