Applications: Suitable for use in Flow cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Western blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western blot: non-reducing ELISA: use as detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional info:	Recognizes CD14, a 53-55kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages and weakly on granulocytes. Also expressed by most tissue macrophages. Completely blocks binding of fluorescein (FITC) labeled bacterial LPS to the monocyte surface and it also blocks the binding of CD14 to the extracellular TLR2 domain. Reacts with human and non-human primates.
