Human CD178 (FAS ligand CD95L) is a 40kD type II membrane protein that induces apoptosis in cells expressing CD95 (FAS) (1, 2). CD178 is one of the major effectors of CD8+CTL and NK activitity. Loss of CD178 leads to lymphoproliferative and autoimmune disease. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Fixed cells or tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
