Members of MS4A protein family are characterized by the presence of 4 highly conserved transmembrane domains. CD20, a 35-37kD human B-cell specific tetraspan membrane protein, is a unique member of this family. CD20 plays a major role in the initiation of intracellular signaling and regulating B-cell growth and differentiation. It complexes with BCR and regulates Calcium ion entry, thereby regulating B-cell signaling and activation. Antibodies such as Rituximab directed against CD20 are being extensively used for the treatment of B-cell lymphomas. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:100-1:750 Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:25-1:50 Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human T cell line Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
