CD22 is differentially expressed during B cell maturation. Initially, CD22 is expressed in the cytoplasm of pro-B and pre-B cells and then on the cell surface of mature B cells. CD22 expression is lost upon terminal differentiation to plasma cells. CD22 functions as an adhesion receptor, for leukocytes and erythrocytes, and a signalling molecule which may play a role in B-cell activation.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
