Human CD23 is a low affinity receptor for IgE (Fc epsilon RII) found primarily on mature B cells and also on eosinophils, monocytes, dendritic cells, platelets, and a subset of thymic epithelial cells. CD23 interacts with CD21. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed paraffin Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells were washed and preincubated 5 min with 20ul of 250ug/ml human IgG (To block non specific binding) after which they were1.2 washed and incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-0.2 0. Binding of anti-CD23 antibody to human cell lines 0 10 20 30ug/ml PBL Nalm-6 1 0.8 0.6 CD23 antibody at a concentration of 10ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. A net 5% sub population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.94 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
