CD25 is a 55kD transmembrane glycoprotein consisting of a heavily glycosylated extracellular domain, a transmembrane region and a short cytoplasmic tail. It is expressed during early stages of thymocytes development and in activated CD4+ memory T-lymphocytes. CD25 heterodimerizes with IL2R-beta and IL-2R gamma and forms the tripartite high affinity IL-2 receptor complex. It increases the specificity and affinity of IL-2 receptor complex for IL-2 ligand and is necessary for receptor clustering required for augmentation of IL-2 signaling. Mutations in CD25 result in severe immunodeficiency.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry (Cell Surface): 0.1-0.5ug/1x10e6 cells
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. APC is light sensitive.
