CD273, also known as B7-DC and Programmed Death Ligand 2 (PD-L2), is a 42kD member of the immunoglobulin receptor superfamily, and is a ligand for CD279 (PD-1). CD273 is primarily expressed on dendritic cells, and its expression can be induced on inflammatory macrophages when activated by interleukin 4 or Th2 cells. CD273 functions to inhibit T-cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle progression and cytokine production, and is particularly important in the maintenance of self tolerance. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: P3U1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from immunized mice. IHC Positive Control: Human tonsil Recommended Negative Control: I1904-78R: IgG1 Murine Negative Control Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
