CD28 is a 44kD glycoprotein, also known as Tp44 or T44. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on thymocytes, most peripheral T cells, and NK cells. In association with CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2), CD28 acts as the second signal for T and NK cell activation and proliferation. This antibody blocks the binding of 37.51 antibody to CD28 and co-stimulates T cell activation and proliferation. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
