Human CD34 is an unusual glycosylated membrane protein exclusively expressed on immature hematopoietic cells and on endothelial cells. CD34 may have a role in cell adhesion. CD34 has extensive utility for bone marrow transplantation.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cultured KG-1 human tumor cells were washed and pre-incubated 5 min with 20ul of 250ug/ml human IgG (to block nonspecific binding) after which they were incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-CD34/APC at a 1:50 dilution (10ug/ml). Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.35 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG3/PE negative control at a similar concentration. Binding was blocked when cells were pre-incubated 10 min with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml anti-CD34 antibody.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. APC is light sensitive.
