Additional info: |
Recognizes human CD41. Recognizes the intact platelet GPIIb/IIIa complex and human trombocytes and megakaryocytes. Does not bind to dissociated GPIIb, GPIIIa or platelets from patients with Glanzmann thrombasthenia. Does not recognize the vitronectin receptor, which contains GPIIa as a beta subunit (cf. CD61). Activates human thrombocytes and induces thrombocyte aggregation in the absence of trombocyte inhibitors such as EDTA. |
