CD41/61 is a heterodimeric cell surface protein that is expressed on chicken thrombocytes and cells of the thrombocyte lineage. Avian thrombocytes are nucleated equivalents of mammalian platelets that play a role in coagulation and phagocytosis. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Western Blot: Reported to work under reducing conditions. Bands of 100, 110 and 24kD were detected. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Negative Control: I1904-78R:IgG1 Murine Negative Control Hybridoma: Sp2-0/AG14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
