CD42b is a co-factor of ristocetin induced aggregation and is involved with binding of platelets to blood vessel walls. It is found on platelets and also on megakaryocytes in bone marrow. This antibody will help identify CD42b expression. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Tonsil and skin, fine granular staining of platelets in most capillaries (membrane staining pattern) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
