VLA-4 is expressed on lymphocytes, monocytes, mast cells, macrophages, basophils and eosinophils, and has key roles in inflammation, cellular adhesion and cellular activation. a4 beta 7 is expressed mainly on lymphocytes, and plays a key role in lymphocyte recruitment to sites of inflammation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 15-25ug/ml Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment for 20 minutes prior to staining of paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
