Integrins are a/b heterodimeric cell surface receptors that play a pivotal role in cell adhesion and migra- tion, as well as in growth and survival (1,2). The integrin family contains at least 18 a and 8 b subunits that form 24 known integrins with distinct tissue distribution and over- lapping ligand specificities (3). Integrins not only transmit signals to cells in response to the extracellular environment (outside-in signaling), but also sense intracellular cues to alter their interaction with the extracellular environment (inside-out signaling) (1,2).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunoprecipitation: 1:100
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
