CD54 or intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM-1) is expressed on monocytes and endothelial cells and is induced on B and T cells, thymocytes, fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and epithelial cells. It mediates immune and inflammatory responses and is involved with the adhesion of T cells with antigen-presenting cells. This antibody will help detect CD54 and identify CD54 expressing cell types. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:50 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Tonsil (membrane staining pattern) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
