Human CD62E (E-selectin) is an adhesion molecule expressed on activated endothelium and facilitates recruitment of leukocytes to sights of acute inflammation and immunological events. CD62E has affinity to LewisX (1). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Cultured human umbilical cord vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) were stimulated 4 hours with 10ng/ml Phorbol 12-Myristate 13-Acetate. Five x 105 cells per tube were harvested, washed and incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-CD62E antibody at 5ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.61 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
