Human CD7 is one of the earliest T lineage markers and is found on most thymocytes and peripheral blood T cells. The function of CD7 is not yet fully known, although cross-linking of CD7 with antibodies induces a T cell transmembrane calcium flux and CD7 expression is induced by ionomycin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cultured CEM cells were washed and incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul anti-CD7 antibody at 1ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.54 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG2b negative control at a similar concentration. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
