CD97 is a monomeric glycoprotein belonging to G-protein coupled receptor 2 family and having a seven-span transmembrane region homologous to the secretin receptor super family. It is usually induced on the surface of activated leukocytes and has four tandem EGF-like domains two of them have calcium binding sites and a single RGD motif and several potential N and O glycosylation sites. It is known to act as a receptor that is not only involved in adhesion but also takes part in signaling processes early after leukocyte activation and also has a cellular ligand CD55 CD55, DAF. Over expression of this protein may sometimes lead to gastrointestinal carcinomas. CD97 an epidermal growth factor (EGF)-TM7 receptor is expressed on smooth muscle cells and other cells of the immune system. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 3-5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
