CD99 is a transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 30kD. It is expressed as a 28kD precusor that undergoes O-glycosylation. It consists of a single chain of 185 residues with a 100aa extracellular region, an a helical transmembrane region, and a 35aa intracellular region.
