Additional Information

CD99 is a transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 30kD. It is expressed as a 28kD precusor that undergoes O-glycosylation. It consists of a single chain of 185 residues with a 100aa extracellular region, an a helical transmembrane region, and a 35aa intracellular region. The extracellular region has three EF hand motifs, a proline-rich region and a collagen-like region. Detection of CD99 in formalin-?xed, paraf?n-embedded tissues is useful in differentiating Ewing
