Cdh1 (molecular weight ~55kD) protein is a limiting, substrate-specific activator of anaphase-promoting complex (APC)-dependent proteolysis and is required for the degradation of the APC substrates, such as Clb2 and Ase1. Cdh1 also plays an important role in mitotic regulation.
