Expression of cdc2 plays a critical role in cell transition through the G2/M phase. The activity of cdc2 in dividing cells increases at the onset of M phase coincident with disassembly of the cell nucleus, generation of mitotic spindles and chromosome condensation. Several proteins including Histone H1 and pp60 src are substrates for cdc2.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected cdc2 from human A431, mouse 3T3 and rat L6 RIPA cell lysates. \nImmunoprecipitation: 4ug Immunoprecipitates cdc2 from 500ug of A431 RIPA lysates.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nIncluded Positive Antigen Control: \nA0001-50: Non-stimulated A431 lysate. Use 20ug per lane for minigels\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
