Regulated progression through the cell cycle requires sequential expression of a family of proteins called cyclins. Upon their induction, cyclins form complexes with specific cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), creating active holoenzymes that phosphorylate target proteins required for cell-cycle progression. CDK5 is expressed predominantly in post-mitotic cell populations, and potentially regulates early neuronal development in zebrafish. CDK5 is responsible for regulating neuronal migration, differentiation, axonogenesis, synaptic transmission and apoptosis. Zebrafish CDK5 is 96% identical to the human ortholog. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: C2575-11G Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
