Regulated progression through the cell cycle requires sequential expression of a family of proteins called cyclins. Upon their induction, cyclins form complexes with specific cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), creating active holoenzymes that phosphorylate target proteins required for cell-cycle progression. CDK7, the catalytic subunit of the CDK- activating kinase (CAK) complexes with Cyclin H. Within humans, the CAK is involved in the regulation of RNA polymerase II when complexed with the core-TFIIH basal transcription factor, allowing for elongation of transcripts. However, the function of the CDK7 ortholog in zebrafish has not yet been isolated. Sequence analysis has shown that zebrafish CDK7 cDNAs encode proteins with 86% identity to human orthologs. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: C2577-09D Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
