Chk 1 (Checkpoint Kinase 1, CHEK1, CHK1, Serine/threonine-protein Kinase Chk1)

Checkpoint Kinase 1 is a protein that in its phosphory- lated form regulates cell cycle progression in response to agents that block DNA replications. Eukaryotic cells exposed to ionizing radiation or other genotoxic stress- es activate checkpoints to delay cell cycle progression. Cell cycle kinases act upstream of p53 in DNA damage response and mutations of these kinases are implicated in certain cancer development. This antibody will help detect checkpoint kinase 1 and further characterize its expression in a variety of tissues.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:100 for 1 hr. at RT. Antigen retrieval recommended. Not recommended for use with frozen samples.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nTonsil (nuclear and cytoplasmic staining pattern)\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
