Cholecystokinin A receptor, a Cholecystokinin Receptor, binds sulfated CCK, particularly CCK8. The CCKA receptor mediates gallbladder contraction, gastric emptying, relaxation of the sphincter of Oddi, and insulin secretion. It is also inolved in pancreatic growth, enzyme secretion, and tumorigenesis. Cholecystokinin A receptor has been reported in brain, colon, gall bladder, gastrointestinal tract, kidney, pancreas, small intestine, spinal cord, and stomach. ESTs have been isolated from mouse kidney and heart libraries. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5-10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
