Cholecystokinin B Receptor (CCKB Receptor, CCKBR, Gastrin Receptor, GASR, HGNC:1571)

Cat no: C5042-25B

Cholecystokinin B Receptor (CCKB Receptor, CCKBR, Gastrin Receptor, GASR, HGNC:1571)

This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. This protein is a type B gastrin receptor, which has a high affinity for both sulfated and nonsulfated CCK analogs and is found principally in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. A misspliced transcript variant including an intron has been observed in cells from colorectal and pancreatic tumors.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:32,000\nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml. Detects bands at 55kD and 26kD in human pancreas lysates\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3ug/ml. Human pancreas shows strong staining in Islets of Langerhans and weak staining in acinar cells. Also suitable for use in frozen sections.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol 40-50%, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.\n\n
