CNTF mainly signals through binding to a receptor complex consisting of a CNTFRa subunit, two beta components, gp130 and LIFR, resulting ultimately in the activation of JAK/STAT signalling pathway, but CNTF has also been shown to bind to the receptor for interleukin-6 (IL-6R).
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 0.25-1ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C for short-term only.Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
