Cat no: C5881-01G

CLPP, Recombinant, Human, aa57-277 (ATP dependent protease ClpAP (E coli) proteolytic subunit, ATP dependent proteolytic subunit homolog (E coli), Caseinolytic protease ATP dependent proteolytic subunit E coli, Endopeptidase Clp, Putative ATP dependent Cl

CLPP (ATP-dependent Clp protease proteolytic subunit) belongs to the peptidase family S14. CLPP cleaves peptides in various proteins in a process that requires ATP hydrolysis. CLPP, the catalytic core of the Clp proteolytic complex, is widely involved in many cellular processes via the regulation of intracellular protein quality. CLPP may be responsible for a fairly general and central housekeeping function rather than for the degradation of specific substrates. Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.\n\nSource:\nRecombinant corresponding to aa57-277 of human CLPP, expressed in E.coli.\n\nAA Sequence:\nMPLIPIVVEQ TGRGERAYDI YSRLLRERIV CVMGPIDDSV ASLVIAQLLF LQSESNKKPI HMYINSPGGV VTAGLAIYDT MQYILNPICT WCVGQAASMG SLLLAAGTPG MRHSLPNSRI MIHQPSGGAR GQATDIAIQA EEIMKLKKQL YNIYAKHTKQ SLQVIESAME RDRYMSPMEA QEFGILDKVL VHPPQDGEDE PTLVQKEPVE AAPAAEPVPA ST\n\nMolecular Weight: \n~24.2kD (222aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
