CNOT7, is a ubiquitous transcription factor. It is a component of the CCR4 complex which functions as a general transcription regulation complex. CNOT7 also binds to an anti-proliferative protein, B-cell translocation protein 1 (BTG1), which negatively regulates cell proliferation.
