Cofilin, phosphorylated (Ser3)

Cofilin is a 20kD actin-binding protein and a key regulator of actin dynamics involved in\nregulating lamellipodia formation, neurite extension, chemotaxis and tumor cell migration.\nPhosphorylation of cofilin by LIM kinase (LIMK1) on serine 3 mediates Rho-ROCK and Rac-PAK signaling pathways in regulating actin reorganization by inactivating cofilin and blocking its ability to promote actin-filament disassembly.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:1000 \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nMDCK cells treated with staurosporine; Jurkat cells treated with hydrogen peroxide.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
